Congratulations on being successful in receiving a Tourism Business Capability Subsidy. The subsidy is supporting the Queensland tourism industry to thrive, deliver exceptional experiences and exceed visitor expectations through undertaking recognised tourism accreditation and training activities.

Please refer to the confirmation letter you have received from the Department of Tourism and Sport for details on the training and/ or accreditation activities that your business has been approved to undertake, your unique subsidy claim number, and the subsidy you will receive upon completion of these approved activities.

How to make payment for your approved courses under the Tourism Business Capability Subsidy

  1. Click on login at the top right corner of this page, then click on create a new account, please use the same email address you used when applying for the subsidy. This is also where you will enter your Subsidy Claim Number.
  2. Once logged in, either search for a specific course or select view all courses to see all available courses under the grant.
  3. Click on purchase now for one of your approved programs (refer to the second page of the confirmation letter for the list of programs that you have been approved for).
  4. Check the course details and then click purchase now again.
  5. Fill in your payment details and complete the purchase. You will only be able to make payment for one program at a time.
  6. Upon completing your payment, you will be contacted directly by the accreditation/ training provider within 5 business days to start you on your program.

Important Information

Key dates for Round 2:
Upon approval, businesses will need to register and pay for their approved training/ accreditation activities within 30 business days of approval through the Training Portal, including the Subsidy Claim Number. If this date is not met, the offer will lapse and the approved funding amount will be returned to the Subsidy budget.
Activities must be completed at the latest by 18 October 2024 unless prior written approval for an extension has been granted by the Department of Tourism and Sport.

Your confirmation letter details the maximum subsidy payable, up to $2000 (excluding GST). Businesses must cover additional costs above the approved maximum funding amount.
